Start Here
New to Armed & Unbreakable? Start here.
You do not need experience, and you do not need to own a firearm. You do not have to wait for a new cycle to begin either — you can join in any month. Here is exactly what your first three sessions look like.
Session 1
You train the first tier
You join the class and work the month's topic at Tier 1 — the Foundation standard. You are on the line with everyone else, running the same topic at the level that fits you today.
Sessions 2 & 3
You work alongside a second instructor
For your next two sessions you work off to the side with a second instructor while the main group runs the block. Same topic, same range day, smaller circle — safety, gun handling and the fundamentals that everything else is built on, at your pace.
Session 4 onward
You join the main group when you're ready
You step into the full class when you feel ready. Not when the calendar says so, and not because anyone pushed you. If you want a fourth or a fifth session on the side, take it.
Experienced shootersExperienced shooters may be placed into the main group sooner. That is a demonstrated-skill decision, not a self-assessment: show your instructor safe gun handling, a safe draw and reholster, and accountable hits, and you move up. It can happen on your first day.
What to bringBring eye and ear protection, a belt that supports a holster, closed-toe shoes and a higher-neckline top. If you don't have a firearm or holster yet, tell us when you register and we'll have one ready for you.
The Four Tiers
Everyone Trains The Same Topic
All four tiers are on the same range day working the same month's topic. What changes is the distance, whether you work from concealment, how much time you get, and how much the drill asks you to decide.
TIER 1
FOUNDATION
Learning it
TIER 2
DEFENDER
Doing it under time
TIER 3
PROTECTOR
Doing it under pressure
TIER 4

Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You discriminate between threats and non-threats under a running clock.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You read hands first and challenge verbally before the gun ever comes out.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
You make correct shoot / no-shoot decisions in force-on-force at full speed.
OCTOBER
Multiple Threats & Transitions
“Can you solve more than one problem without losing the first one?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You learn to present to a target and to trade speed against accuracy knowingly.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You transition between targets with your eyes leading the gun.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You prioritise threats by distance, weapon and intent rather than by position.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
Efficient transitions with no wasted movement across a wide, mixed-distance array.
NOVEMBER
Movement — Getting Off the X
“Can you shoot while not standing where the bullets are going?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You build the stable platform that all movement is later built on.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You take a lateral step off the line of attack as a trained reaction.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You shoot while moving and know where your personal speed-accuracy break point is.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
You move efficiently while shooting to standard, in any direction.
DECEMBER
Turns & 360° Threat Response
“Can you address a threat that isn't in front of you, safely?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You internalise muzzle discipline until it is unconscious.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You turn and draw without sweeping yourself or anyone else.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You turn to an array, and you turn with movement and with a verbal challenge.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
You run 360-degree problems in force-on-force with perfect muzzle control.
JANUARY
Use of Cover & Concealment
“Do you know the difference, and can you use it without giving yourself away?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You learn to hit at 10 and 15 yards and to read a room before you're in trouble.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You learn what stops a bullet and what only hides you.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You work cover properly — off it, pieing it, rolling out, shooting support-side.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
You move between cover, communicate, and shoot from urban prone and under vehicles.
FEBRUARY
Low Light & Reduced Visibility
“Can you identify and engage when you can't see?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You learn your gun well enough to load, unload and check it without looking.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You use a light to identify before you ever consider shooting.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You shoot, reload and clear stoppages in reduced light, largely by feel.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
You run low-light force-on-force with disciplined light use and clean decisions.
MARCH
Contact Distance, Entanglement & Retention
“What happens when he already has his hands on you?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You learn to see it coming and to use your voice before anything else.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You manage distance with your body and your voice, and you protect your holster.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You retain the gun against a grab and fire from a close-contact position safely.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
You access and run the gun while entangled, on the ground, or with one hand fending.
APRIL
Trauma Medicine & Post-Incident
“You won. Now what?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You learn tourniquets, wound packing and direct pressure, and you build an IFAK.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You carry a real IFAK and can use it while the situation is still developing.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You know what to say to dispatch, what to do with the gun, and where to stand.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
You coach others through medical skills under time pressure.
MAY
Base Frame & Grip Under Load
“Can you hold the gun still when your body is not still?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You build a repeatable two-hand grip and a stance that absorbs recoil.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
Your grip survives movement, exertion and awkward body positions.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You shoot to standard with a heart rate you did not choose.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
One-handed and off-handed shooting is a working option, not a party trick.
JUNE
Sights, Trigger & Calling the Shot
“Do you know where the shot went before you look?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You learn to align sights and press the trigger without disturbing them.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You learn how much sight a given shot actually requires.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You call your shots — you know where it went before you look.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
Precision on demand: a head box at 15 yards is a shot you take, not a shot you gamble on.
JULY
The Concealment Draw
“Can you get the gun out from under your actual clothes, on demand, without looking?”
Tier 1 · FOUNDATION
You learn a safe four-count draw and a deliberate, look-it-in reholster.
Tier 2 · DEFENDER
You clear a real cover garment and get to a hit under time.
Tier 3 · PROTECTOR
You draw from closed-front garments and appendix carry under a realistic par.
Tier 4 · GUARDIAN
Sub-1.5-second draws from your real daily wardrobe, without a look-down.
Good To Know
How The Schedule Works
One topic a monthEvery month has its own topic. The cycle runs twelve months and then repeats, so a topic you miss comes back around within the year.
Four levels, one range dayTiers 1 through 4 train the same topic on the same day. What changes is the distance, whether you work from concealment, how much time you're given, and how much decision-making the drill demands. Nobody is held back and nobody is left behind.
Work the tier you're onYour card records the tier you have earned. Train at that tier. You are welcome to watch the tier above you run the same drill — that is the fastest way to see where you're going.
Missed a month?Every session is recorded. Watch the recording, or pick the topic up when it comes round again. Ask about a private make-up session if you want it sooner.
